Pieces
worth keeping

GILBERT OBJECTS has a curated selection of vintage design objects and design pieces.

It started with a single find that sparked our enthousiasm for unique, vintage finds. This one piece, the Gilbert chair by IKEA, kickstarted it all. Using our eye for design to scour for beautiful items.

The collection grew slowly and with intention. We choose for quality, not for quantity.

We focus on furniture, lighting and everyday objects from the 1950s to early 2000s. Some pieces are recognised designs, others are not, and both matter.

Selection is based on form, material and construction, not on trends or volume. Wear is part of the story, and restoration is minimal and only where needed.

There is no fixed collection; objects come and go in small drops.

We don’t select items in poor condition so we use three categories to describe the condition of each piece:

  • Good

  • Great

  • Perfect
